Professional artist for over 40 years

Esa has been an artist for 40 years. Over the years, he has exhibited his art in many art shows and as a result, his works have found their way to Europe, Japan and Australia, as well as throughout Canada and the United States.

He travels far and wide to conduct workshops in his art on slate, canvas and metal. He enjoys teaching very much and has also taught at several  painting conventions. Over the years, his art has been published in PaintWorks magazines. He has authored four books in series: Esa’s Art Designs: Book 1: Memories of Summer, Book 2: Winter Wonderland, Book 3: Fall Foliage & Mountain Train and More to Paint, Book 4: Slated for Painting.

Esa created a new brush working with Loew-Cornell. The result was the bristle rake fan. It is a very unique brush and  great when painting trees. It has become very popular with artists and is “ a must” when painting landscapes.

He also created Esa’s Leaf Stippler, that has been on the market for five years. It is a great specialty “brush” for painting leaves.  This leaf stippler creates beautiful, natural looking foliage on trees.  

 Esa has been a convention teacher at NET, HOOT and Las Vegas Creative Painting Convention.  He is also a convention teacher at Passion Couleurs in Montreal and Coast to Coast Creative Arts Convention in Mississauga.
